IELTS Cambridge 20 Task 1 Essay: Bamboo Fabric

The image is a diagram titled “How bamboo fabric is made.” It visually explains the nine-step process of producing bamboo fabric, using simple illustrations and arrows to show the sequence. The steps include: Plant bamboo plants (shown with small green bamboo shoots). Harvest the bamboo (a person cutting bamboo). Cut the harvested bamboo into strips (illustrated with a saw). Crush the strips into liquid pulp. Filter the pulp to separate long fibers from the liquid. Soften the fibers by adding water and amine oxide. Spin the softened fibers into yarn. Weave the yarn to make the fabric. Produce the final product, represented by a finished yellow T-shirt. The diagram uses simple icons, arrows, and labels to show each stage clearly.

The process delineates how bamboo is fabricated into textile products. Then water and amine oxide are added to soften the fibers, allowing them to be spun into balls of thread. The thread can then be woven into larger pieces of fabric which themselves form the basis of final clothing products for retail.
